ViewMAX SMIL-Player Configuration

SMIL-R Player/Display (2nd. Generation)

Digital Signage Media Appliance Model MBR-1100, XMP-6250, XDS-1078 for viewMAX Software v2.7 and higher.

An USB mouse is mandatory for the player and display configuration. It is recommended to use an USB-Keyboard (an American keyboard driver is installed).

For an already prepared devices, move the mouse cursor to any corner of the screen and press the left mouse button until the configuration menu occurs. If a password was set, enter your password if requested.

The correct order of the First Steps is mandatory, otherwise it is not possible to send content to the device.

First Steps

Preparing a player

1. Connect the player to a HDMI port of a display.
2. Connect the power supply.

All devices

1. Please wait until the device has started
2. configure the network under /advanced/network/ (Default is DHCP).
3. Richten Sie im viewMAX Director unter /Configuration/Displays das neue Gerät ein - Die Tastenkombination (Strg+Shift+C aktiviert den Menüpunkt Configuration im Hauptmenü).
4. Konfigurieren Sie den Typ REST mit dem Benutzer admin. Sollten Sie am Player/Display ein Kennwort hinterlegt haben, so geben Sie dieses bitte mit an.
5. Über den viewMAX Director/Utilities/Director Display Access bespielen Sie das Display mit einem ersten Bild.

Führen Sie die folgenden Schritte bitte erst aus, wenn das Display bereits mit einem Bild bespielt wurde und dieses angezeigt wird.

Diese Einstellungen dienen dazu, dass nach einem Neustart, die letzten Inhalte wiedergeben werden.

1. Bewegen Sie den Mauscursor in eine Ecke des Bildschirms und drücken Sie die linke Maustaste bis das Konfigurationsmenü wieder erscheint.
2. Wählen Sie nun Set Content: und geben die folgende URL an http://localhost:8080/v2/user-data/index.smil
3. Starten Sie den Player/Display neu.
