SMIL-R Player/Display (2nd. Generation)
Digital Signage Media Appliance Model MBR-1100, XMP-6250, XDS-1078 for viewMAX Software v2.7 and higher.
An USB mouse is mandatory for the player and display configuration. It is recommended to use an USB-Keyboard (an American keyboard driver is installed).
For an already prepared devices, move the mouse cursor to any corner of the screen and press the left mouse button until the configuration menu occurs. If a password was set, enter your password if requested.
The correct order of the First Steps is mandatory, otherwise it is not possible to send content to the device.
First Steps
Preparing a player
- Connect the player to a HDMI port of a display.
- Connect the power supply.
All devices
- Please wait until the device has started
- Configure the network under /advanced/network/ (Default is DHCP).
- In the viewMAX Director setup the new device under /Configuration/Displays- (Ctrl+Shift+C activates the menu item Configuration in the main menu).
- The device type is REST with the user admin. If you set up a device password, you also have to enter it here.
- With the viewMAX Director/Utilities/Director Display Access send an initial picture to the device.
Don't continue with the following steps, before the device shows your content.
With this settings the display will automatically display the latest content after a restart.
- Move the mouse cursor to any corner of the screen and press the left mouse button until the configuration menu occurs.
- Select Set Content: and enter the start URL http://localhost:8080/v2/user-data/index.smil
- Restart the device
